I teach private voice lessons via FaceTime in one-hour sessions.

Musical theatre, rock, country, jazz, classical, and church musicians

from novice to professional are welcome.

Age requirement: 14+.

Your first lesson is a consultation where we will discuss your experience, needs and wants.

Next, I will vocalize you and will assess your voice.

We will discuss my findings and create a plan for you to reach your personal goals.

You may reschedule a prepaid lesson up to 24 hours in advance.

After 24 hours in advance, lesson fees due to late cancellations will not be refunded.

The Studio Technique

This studio's foundational technique is bel canto. The voice is described as being made up of three registers: the chest register being the lowest and the head register being the highest. These registers need to be smoothly blended and fully equalized before a singer can acquire total command of their natural instrument. The best way to achieve this is to do vocal exercises to strengthen the voice and then apply it to the student's music in order to strengthen their respiratory muscles while maintaining good, natural vocal tone. This is a feel-based technique, not a listening-to-yourself technique. Thus, students are required to record their lessons and to listen back to them and to practice their given exercises. In addition, I use the Socratic method during lessons, so students may learn what works for them personally, as every voice is different, and every student feels and describes things differently.
